A Wrong Turn .....

As I mentioned in the previous post, i was in Penang last weekend. On the way to Kepala Batas, Penang, I took a wrong turn and ended up taking the bridge to Penang Island. I had to cough up RM7.00 for the "scenic" route plus some more additional fuel cost. So as to make the costly mistake worthwhile, I stopped by a restaurant by the waterfront (which was closed, by the way ... another bummer) and just had to take this shot.

Last year, I caught this pix at a paddy (or is it padi?) field in Sekinchan, Selangor.

The bird flew out of the paddy bushes as the farmer was spraying fertiliser.

Last weekend, I was up north at Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang. On my way back to KL, I stopped by the road side to catch a few photos of a farmer spraying pesticides to his crop (the lighting really caughty my eyes). I had a pleasant surprise when I almost caught a similar picture as the one in Sekinchan last year .....

We did it .... 5 As ....

After rice and curry for dinner for the past few days, I decided to take a break and cook something different from our usual Malay menu ... The moment I said, "Tonight daddy's going to prepare grilled chicken for dinner ...", my kids jumped with approval.

I think it is a balanced meal ... protein from the chicken, 2 servings of vegetables from the carrots and broccoli, and some carbohydrate from the potatoes. Mom would be proud of me ... heheheheh ... :D

Moleskine shelf

While waiting for my two sons to finish their Tae Kwon Do training, I popped by the Ampang Point Cash Converters to do some window shopping to kill the time. My wife says this is a junk shop because it sells other people's junk, but I found a little treasure there on Saturday ....

A nice little shelf that I can use to stow my Moleskine journals ... the shelf seems like it was made for the Moleskines pocket notebook. I bought two, cost me RM6.00 each, that's less than two dollars per shelf.
